Vango AirBeam - Product launch & point of sale video

The Vango AirBeam range uses robust inflatable tubes in place of poles meaning the tents can be pegged out and inflated easily - a highly innovative approach which has been 15 years in development.

The company urgently needed a video to form part of the sales and marketing material to be used when the products went on show to the public for the first time at the Gadget Show Live 2011 at the NEC in Birmingham.

Tigershark's brief was to put together a high quality package which could be used at the Gadget Show and which would also be suitable for display at an initial 50 points-of-sale in retailers around the UK.

The video had to illustrate how the Airbeam collection offers rapid, simple pitching, excellent stability and a fully featured design, which will make purchasers the envy of everyone on the campsite.

The video was also to be shown on the Vango website and distributed via partner retailers' websites.

Rapid response project 
With such a tight deadline to operate against, the Tigershark team implemented a rapid response project procedure with some team members burning the midnight oil in order to get the package finished in time.

The video had to work both online and in a public display scenario, so the visuals had to be strong and self-explanatory, while the audio was also stripped down to be as simple as possible.

With a product that is completely new to the market, the initial phase is very much about spreading the word, so the video is designed to be as eye-catching and memorable as possible.

Anyone who's ever struggled with putting up a tent can see pretty much straight away the advantages of the AirBeam technology but the video had also to give potential customers the re-assurance that the product had to subject to the rigorous testing that befits a product with the Vango brand.

The resulting package is a slick overview of the features and benefits of the AirBeam product range which has already been creating a buzz in the outdoor and camping community.
